The Opportunity

Dillon Consulting is seeking a Proposal Content Editor and Curator to join our Business Development and Sales Office.  Reporting directly to the Proposal Support Manager, this position will be a key member of our Proposal Sales Team

We rely on curated proposal content to streamline our proposal management process, ensuring our content is efficiently organized, up-to-date, and tailored to our clients' needs. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Proposal Content Editor and Curator, playing a key role in maintaining and developing our proposal content reference library.

 

Working closely with our Proposal Specialists and Proposal Coordinators, you will be responsible for capturing and organizing content from past and current proposals, as well as creating new proposal content through collaboration with internal subject matter experts (SMEs). Your work will help ensure that our proposals effectively communicate our value to prospective clients.

Responsibilities

What your day may look like:

  • Capture and file relevant content from past and current proposals for future reference
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to create and update high-quality proposal content
  • Develop new proposal content that resonates with prospective clients in the professional services industry
  • Ensure content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligns with the company’s branding and messaging
  • Work closely with the proposal and business development teams to identify gaps in the content library
  • Maintain a structured approach to content filing, ensuring ease of access and retrieval
  • Stay informed about trends in proposal writing and client engagement to keep content fresh and competitive
  • Review new content as it is proposed for the Proposal Content Reference Library, to confirm it meets Dillon quality and branding requirements
  • Engage daily with our proposal management software system, as well as collaborating with our Proposal Specialists/Coordinators also operating within this system. (Note: Full training will be provided on our proposal management software system)

Qualifications

What you will need to succeed

  • Post-secondary education in fine arts, communication, marketing or another related field
  • Minimum three years’ experience working in a professional setting
  • A knack for formatting, editing, layout and making written content sound like “one voice”

Experience

  • Proven marketing, sales and/or proposal experience. Experience working at a professional services consulting firm considered an asset.
  • Highly task oriented, organized and self-motivated
  • Strong interpersonal, organization and time management skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Coordinating/working with multi-disciplinary teams / Subject Matter Experts
  • Superior written communication skills.
  • Marketing related written content generation considered an asset
  • Strong capabilities using Microsoft Office and MS Sharepoint environment
  • Graphics experience considered an asset (i.e., Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Visio etc.)
  • Experience using proposal management software platforms considered an asset
