Who We Are Looking For

Internat Energy Solutions is looking for a Mechanical Systems Designer who is driven, hardworking and collaborative, and who wants to continue to gain varied experiences in the energy management industry. Someone who strives to provide their clients with an excellent experience through their professionalism and responsiveness.

Position

In this role you will be a welcome addition to our dynamic team. As a Mechanical Systems Designer you will showcase your organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced professional environment. Your ability to create strong working relationships with your peers and managers will elevate your and the company’s collective success. What your day will look like

• Lead building system design and RFQ document development for mechanical systems
• Lead comprehensive building utility audits for existing buildings
• Conduct on site system measurements for drawing development
• Manage energy efficiency implementation projects
• Organize and participate in onsite contractor meetings
• Manage implementation projects

What you will need to succeed

• Strong working knowledge of CAD software is preferred (AutoCAD, Revit etc...)
• Good written, communication and reporting skills
• Proficient in building code for Western Canada and ASHRAE standards
• Strong skills with Microsoft Office Tools (Work, Excel, PowerPoint with Access as a bonus)
• Capable of working independently on specific tasks and function well within a team
• Language skills in English is important and French would be an asset

• 2-5 years relevant experience in mechanical systems design
• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a Diploma from SAIT in Mechanical Engineering Technology, with foundation in building science or energy management
• Professional Engineer or Member-In-Training for the province of Alberta is an asset
• Experience with buildings mechanical heating and cooling system design and ventilation systems
