Embark on a journey with Dillon's Communities and Environment technical group, where you will be an instrumental part of our diverse team of professionals. This role will provide you with opportunities to be a part of ground-breaking projects, locally and nation wide, whilst delivering an unparalleled, fully integrative customer experience.


Projects would include design and development of engineering drawings for municipal infrastructure, roadway, land development and drainage projects, as well as opportunities to work on projects in Northern Canada.


In Dillon, we function as a single team across 23 offices nationwide, allowing you to collaborate with teams and colleagues across the country daily.  The role is available in any of our Atlantic Canada offices, where you would join our collaborative, impactful unit.


What your day will look like

Design and Drafting

  • Cooperate with a mixed team of professionals: engineers, planners, scientists, and a technical and administrative support cluster
  • Exemplify proficiency in functional and intricate design (CADD design) of transportation and municipal infrastructure, incorporating water supply, sewers, roads, land development site servicing, drainage, and waste management elements.

Learning & Development

  • Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development
  • Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees


What you will need to succeed


  • Hold a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology and Valid Registration as a Civil Engineering Technologist (CET) or Certified Technician (CTech).
  • Amass 2-5 years of industry experience, preferably in consulting engineering and/or municipal environments.


  • Practical experience in functional and detailed design drawings of various civil, and municipal infrastructure projects including roads, sewers, watermains and drainage works
  • Exhibit proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software, along with a working knowledge of Microstation/InRoads software
  • Understanding of project design and implementation activities including development of design drawings and reports, contract document preparation, tendering, and contract administration
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organization and interpersonal skills, including the ability work in a team environment
