Your opportunity

Dillon’s Land Development Business Unit is looking for a Intermediate or Senior Contract Administrator to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience. 

 

This position is based at our London office. We offer flexible work hours and hybrid work arrangement options to help balance the competing demands of work and personal life.

Responsibilities

What your day will look like

 

Contract Administration

 

  • Provide field level support to junior inspectors and co-op students assigned to various projects and contract administration related tasks
  • Coordinate and run meetings with Municipal Representatives, Clients, Other Consultants, and Contractors
  • Review and process contractor invoices, change orders, monthly progress certificates, and holdback releases
  • Collect and manage the various testing and inspection requirements for substantial performance, commencement of maintenance periods, and final acceptance by municipalities and approval agencies
  • Provide constructability reviews of drawings prior to tendering and construction
  • Prepare both detailed and high-level construction estimates
  • Assist with the tendering of Subdivision and Site Plan projects and finalizing various contract documents prior to construction, including  bid analysis, contract award recommendations, final contract preparation, etc.
  • Resolve construction related issues with contractors and municipal agencies
  • Provide regular project updates to senior Contract Administration staff and Project Managers.
  • Keep up to date with current construction processes and regulations
  • Conduct various internal and external administration and communication

Qualifications

What you will need to succeed

 

  • Civil Engineering Degree, College or University
  • Full working knowledge of the municipal construction process and methods
  • Strong knowledge of various software tools and platforms related to Contract Administration
  • Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle

 

Experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years combined experience in inspection and contracts administration
  • Ability to lead and manage the work of others
  • Strong Team Player but able to Work Independently
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and report writing skills
  • Strong communication Skills, both written and verbal
