Your opportunity  

Dillon’s Markets group is looking for a Business Development and Sales Lead to join our team.  This position is available at our Ontario offices: North York, Downtown Toronto, Hamilton, Oakville, Guelph, Kitchener, London, Chatham, Windsor, Kingston or Ottawa.

Responsibilities

What your day will look like

  • Enhance Sales Skills:
    • Work closely with client account managers to assess and improve their sales techniques.
    • Develop and deliver targeted training programs to enhance client engagement and sales performance across the firm.
  • Sales Pipeline Development:
    • Identify and implement strategies to build a robust sales pipeline.
    • Achieve agreed upon sales/growth targets on an annual basis.
  • Market Expansion:
    • Research and identify potential new clients and markets for business growth.
    • Develop tailored strategies to approach and secure new business opportunities.
  • Service Diversification:
    • Explore and develop opportunities to sell a broader range of consulting services to existing and new clients.
    • Collaborate with business unit leaders to create compelling value propositions for diversified service offerings.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Support client account managers in maintaining and strengthening client relationships.
    • Assist in developing customized solutions to meet client needs and drive satisfaction.

 Learning & Development 

  • Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development
  • Input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring
    • Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees

Qualifications

What you will need to succeed

  • A minimum of 8 to 15 years of related experience ideally in professional services consulting.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a lead business development and sales role.
  • Evidence of an entrepreneurial background.

  • Proven success in the relentless pursuit of business development and sales growth and targets.
  • Proven success in providing exceptional level of client service.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Highly task oriented, organized and self-motivated.
  • Brilliant verbal and written communication skills, inter-personal skills and presentation skills.
  • Committed to the highest ethical standards and interacts with internal and external clients with professionalism and integrity.
