Your Opportunity


Dillon is seeking a strategic Procurement Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team in our London, Ontario office. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be the driving force behind modernizing our vendor relationships and implementing cost-saving strategies that directly impact our bottom line. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing supplier performance, supporting financial operations, and championing innovative procurement technologies.


This is a full-time, hybrid position requiring a minimum of three days per week in our London office.

Responsibilities

As a Procurement Analyst, you will ensure Dillon secures optimal value from our suppliers while providing critical analytical support to Finance Management.

Strategic Supplier Management

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for identifying, selecting, and managing key suppliers.
  • Lead contract negotiations with new and existing vendors to secure favourable terms, pricing, and service levels.
  • Oversee supplier performance monitoring, including regular reviews against contractual terms and key performance factors.
  • Maintain a central supplier database to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Establish and manage a consistent tender process, including developing an evaluation criteria and approval authority matrix.

Financial Support

  • Support Finance Management with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis related to procurement activities.
  • Prepare and present quarterly reports on supplier performance, cost savings, and key procurement metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase orders and invoices.
  • Maintain meticulous procurement records for audit and reporting purposes.

Innovation & Efficiency

  • Analyze current procurement workflows to identify bottlenecks and opportunities to enhance efficiencies.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies or automation tools to streamline the procure-to-pay lifecycle.
  • Lead projects to implement new procurement systems and processes, driving adoption across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Or a minimum 5+ years of experience in a procurement, strategic sourcing, or financial analyst role would be considered an asset.

Experience

  • Experience in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an exceptional eye for detail.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Proactive at building positive working relationships and interacting professionally
