This position is located at any of our Canadian offices, and we offer flexible work hours to help balance the demands of work and personal life.

Responsibilities

Design and Coordination

  • Assist project managers with a variety of multi-disciplinary projects.

  • Assist in the preparation of technical designs, including engineering studies , technical specifications , and design calculations.

  • Draft ongoing and new projects using relevant design software (e.g., CAD).

  • Complete design activities to maintain project schedules and ensure the successful completion of projects.

Field and Site Work

  • Assist with site investigations and condition assessments.
  • Assist with contract administration tasks, which may include construction layout , construction observation, reviewing contractor submittals, preparing progress payments , and responding to information requests.

Professional and Team Collaboration

  • Complete reviews of safe work practices and perform risk assessments.

  • Collaborate with team members from multiple disciplines.

  • Contribute to business development activities, such as researching client needs and preparing project proposals and presentations.

  • Contribute to Dillon's corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.

  • Travel to other Dillon offices for business upon request.

Learning and Development

  • Participate in the Early Career Development program.

  • Commit to self-development and ongoing learning

Qualifications

  • Membership in EngiQueers Canada
  • Graduation from a University Program in 2026
  • One to two years of co-op or work experience with exposure to consulting is considered an asset

Experience

  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, specifications, and good engineering practices will be considered an asset.

  • An understanding of project design and implementation activities—including the development of design drawings and reports, preparing contract documents, tendering, and contract administration—will be considered an asset.

  • Proficiency in the use of current design software (e.g., CAD); working knowledge of other relevant modeling or design software will be considered an asset.

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
