Your opportunity
We are looking to add a Civil Engineer to fill a new position, who will play a hands-on role in delivering projects, building trusted client relationships, and supporting the continued development of our engineering services in the region.
Based in Yellowknife, you will be part of a close-knit team working directly with clients and communities across the Northwest Territories, while also supporting projects in Nunavut and Yukon as part of Dillon’s broader Northern practice.
You will also work closely with multidisciplinary teams across Dillon’s offices nationwide, coordinating the right expertise for each project while maintaining a strong local presence. For the right person, this role offers the chance to develop broad exposure, regional credibility, and a well-rounded Northern career.

What you will need to succeed
Experience working on municipal infrastructure projects in Northern Canada or other remote and cold climate environments would be considered an asset
Knowledge of permafrost conditions and northern engineering design considerations, including frost heave mitigation, thermal impacts on infrastructure, and construction in remote environments, would be considered an asset
Experience coordinating with geotechnical investigations and applying geotechnical recommendations for infrastructure development in permafrost regions would be considered an asset
